Yeah, some shit will happen to you. That's inevitable. Some of it will be obvious consequences of your actions, but a lot of things will be entirely out of your control, and it will be up to you to deal with it. That's what this song is about. If you're like me and at some point find yourself on the flip side of positive circumstance, then do yourself a favor and offer your weary soul some grace. I don't care how perfect other people's lives appear. Everyone suffers. It's not your fault, and if you can stop beating yourself up about it, then you can at least own your personal power and live with integrity. Peace.
